He has also won the 2005 Fla. Keys " Top Guide Award". Capt. Tony has guided his clients to over 300 trout, 5 lbs. or bigger over the last 20 years with many other trophies
Falling victim to his clients. Capt. Tony is also the owner of TBS Jigs. When he is not guiding, you can find him tying lures, doing seminars, or catch him on Saturday mornings
on the sports radio shows.

Capt Tim Altman has won or placed in a myriad of tournaments from Ocean City, Maryland to St Augustine, Florida. He is a 2 time Jacksonville Sailfish Pot Trophy winner and has been featured in the Florida Sportsman Magazine for his speciality High-Speed Trolling for Wahoo. He teaches High Speed Wahoo Trolling at seminars for the Florida Sportsman Expos all across the state of Florida.
The Saltwater Challenge is a custom built 36ft Contender center console boat. It's powered by triple 300hp engines to provide a fast and comfortable ride to the offshore fishing grounds. The boat has everything you need to find the very best fishing spots on your trip. We can accommodate up to 6 anglers.
With outriggers, downriggers, kites and a state of the art 96 inch trolling motor to precisely anchor, the Saltwater Challenge gives you the opportunity to know what it feels like to fish professionally for the day. After a fun productive day, the crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home for a taste.
These are fish-fertile waters, so prepare to come across a variety of species. Before booking your trip, decide whether you want to troll offshore for species such as Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, Tuna, and Marlin, or to fish the reefs and wrecks for delicious Grouper, Amberjack, and Cobia.
Whichever option you decide to go for, the experienced crew will be with you every step of the way to help you land the trophy fish. Captain Tim's expert knowledge of the local waters will make sure you're in the best position to find the fish of your dreams.

I always get asked, “Where did the business name come from?” Well “Buck” is my late grandfather, and “Roger” is my daddy. Both of these men taught me the love of fishing so they will be with me always! From the name, this business is built on family. I was born and raised in North Florida and have fished the Jacksonville waters since I was a child. A little about me: I’ve spent over 24 years as a local law enforcement officer. I recently retired as a Lieutenant with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office; I know first hand the demand on our First Responders and Military members which is why I offer a First Responder/Military Discount for my brothers and sisters in uniform!! We also offer discounts for teachers and medical staff. I have owned and operated Team Buck Rogers Fishing Charters since 2006. Thanks to the huge TBR customer base, I added another boat to the fleet in 2017 (DROP PLAN), and another boat in June 2019 (BILL COLLECTOR), and yet another boat in April 2021 (BLOOD LINE) to meet customer demand (Thank You!). I have several great Captain’s, a few of which are also first responders, who are professional and very child friendly.
